Visual Identity, Packaging System & Type Design (ECAL)
KILO is a conceptual brand that reimagines how we visually relate to food. Rooted in the idea that everyday nutrition deserves the same attention as luxury goods, the KILO identity merges clarity, minimalism, and typographic expression into a cohesive, data-driven design system. At its core, KILO celebrates whole, unprocessed foods — grains, legumes, vegetables, and proteins — with branding that is both informative and emotionally engaging. The system includes bold packaging, a unique visual language, and an adaptive tool called the K-Pwr® Bar, which visually communicates each product’s macronutrient profile. Through intuitive color-coding and hierarchy, the Power Bar empowers users to understand their food at a glance.
The KILO brand is typographically driven. It features a custom superfamily composed of:
- KILO Display – a bold, organic, variable typeface with a Scale Axis for condensed or expansive use, suited for headlines, labels, and visual impact.
- KILO Text – its legible, functional counterpart for small sizes, nutritional details, and continuous reading.
Both typefaces share a rounded, humanist DNA that echoes the brand’s values: naturalness, approachability, and structure with softness.
