Nir Zabari Yenni is a multidisciplinary designer and lecturer in the Department of Visual Communication at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art. Specializing in type design, Yenni's expertise extends to teaching complex typography and interactive media design. Yenni’s practice lies in the typographic space between print and the screen, in a trilingual context – English, Hebrew and Arabic. His types attend to the aesthetics of Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic letters in a way that maintains their independent status while making room for them to share a space in a multilingual design. Currently pursuing a master's degree in type design at ECAL University in Lausanne, Yenni seeks to deepen his theoretical and artistic approach. He aspires to evolve into a structured yet open-minded type designer, building upon years of experience and dedication to the craft. In his teaching role, Yenni endeavors to instill a profound appreciation for letters in the next generation of designers. In guiding students through their final degree projects, he encourages them to reflect on their choices and explore the role of letterforms within their visual language.
