Mongolian Type‭ Design (ECAL)
Modern Mongolian typefaces often adhere to precise geometry, mirroring Latin script features. Rather than following this trend, I drew inspiration from traditional calligraphy, aiming to capture the freedom and expressiveness of brush strokes. My goal was to blend this traditional aesthetic with modern sensibilities, ensuring the typeface harmonizes with contemporary serif and sans-serif fonts. By enhancing the calligraphic strokes, I created a typeface that maintains a strong visual impact. Considering the historical use of the "Kalam" stylus, I adapted the design to reflect both traditional constraints and modern versatility. The resulting typeface combines angular precision with the softness of handwriting, offering a unique humanistic character that bridges past and present.
